About Us

Rundlet’s wine journey started in the early 90’s during the closing down sale of another Rutherglen fortified wine cellar where some old bulk wine stock was purchased out of respect and as a curio memento of their house style.

The idea of preserving barrels of history had begun.

Over the next few decades other special or unique parcels of interest made by Brendan, as well as other historical blends and styles were sought out from other wineries that had closed, were closing or had simply no interest in their fortified history.

As the years passed the collection grew to relics from over 20 wineries, this also included not only wines but barrels, casks and eventually unique grapevine cuttings and even complete vines from decommissioned vineyards were given a new home at our Kardinia vineyard.

Today wines and future blending stock are made from local vineyards as well as carefully selected growers from Rutherglen and the high country of Victoria.
